MONDAY 17 FEBRUARY - FACE 17
'Flourishes in Shades of Red' Mixed Media - by Jez |
When I had drawn the girl's head, I intended to add quite a bit of collage, but as soon as I had stuck down those two red grid pieces I knew that was my starting point for the flourishes. I'm quite pleased with this.

Lovely work, Jez!
ReplyDeleteThis is terrific, a really unusual arty face, I like her hair and green lips. You've combined the face so well with the flourishes, so that the flourishes are an integral part, and that's a lovely swirly frame. Thaks for coming along to Soartful and sharing it with us.
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely, it looks like a greetings card design. You are always so design focused, it stands out in your work!
ReplyDeleteThis is definitely my favorite piece of yours thus far. There's so much passion to it. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful! There is such a delicacy and romantic feel to it. Thanks for being Soartful with us Jez!
ReplyDeleteYour faces are so wonderful! There are too many to comment on individually, but you work with so many different styles and elements. You are a very talented lady! :-)
ReplyDeleteThis lovely. The green lips are a great contrast.
ReplyDeleteYou should be pleased and proud of this piece. The design and composition are really nice.
ReplyDeleteJez this is a lovely take on our red, white and pink challenge at Opus Gluei. I do hope you will return.
ReplyDeleteThis turned out beautifully. I love swirls of any color, but it's extra good when you can combine challenges.
