FACE NO 10 FOR 29 FACES FEBRUARY 2014

SATURDAY, 10 FEBRUARY - FACE NO 10

WIP
'ASK THE DOCTOR' - Jez
Pitt Artists Pen
Short and sweet today, just a sketch I started and have not had time to complete because we are spending a lot of time watching the Winter Olympics - the BBC coverage is excellent.

So this is all I've got today, folks.  It's a sketch from a photograph I took a couple of weeks ago.  We had attended Dev's regular hospital clinic appointment and went to the cafĂ« while we waited for his prescription to be made up.

Two beautiful young doctors were sitting at the next table.  My fingers itched to draw one, but we were tight for time for the car park - and if you don't live in UK you may not realise how hideously expensive the hospital car park charges are.

In the end I jumped up and asked if I could take his photograph so that I could draw him, and he said yes straight away.  His companion said 'Can he see the drawing when you have done it?' ….. 'Well, yes, if he comes home with me'.  But he didn't.

I definitely want to finish this, but since time is so short today this is all I've got, but I am really pleased with it and feel I captured him well.

  4. I thought you were going to say it's a start to a Doctor Who portrait. Well, I guess it would still work if you didn't ask the doctor's name.
