KEEP THEIR SUNNYSIDE UP

It's springtime, and the challenge at Opus Gluei is EGGS, so it seems the right topic for a vintage song, with a few changes from the original lyrics:

KEEP THEIR SUNNYSIDE UP

Keep your sunnyside up, up,
Let your laughter come through, do.
If you think it's raining for you
Just remember others are blue

Keep your sunnyside up, up
Turn that frown to a smile.
Stand up on your legs,
Go and fry some eggs,
And keep THEIR sunnyside up.

  1. Wacky!!! Love your wonderful upbeat post today, Jez. Sorry, I have to have eggs that are really cooked. My dh used to love sunny side up eggs. I hope it stops raining soon so all my front yard doesn't wash away.

  10. Hello Jez, if I had been feeling miserable, that would have cheered me up. Maybe these should be posters in a doctor's office or somewhere like that.

  11. Hi Jez.............LOVE it. This song was the theme for a variety show when I was a kid, staying with my grandmother and being allowed to stay up late. I've been singing it ever since opening you post.

Ann has already said it, but I have to agree....eggcellent!

  20. Very sweet and fun post. I think sunny side up is a great way to start the day -- never eat blue eggs either. I love that your adventures with your sister and brother got featured on PPF. Thanks for sharing!

  22. Love the way you made art of simple everyday eggs. It doesn't always have to be something difficult, your eggs are the best proof of that. Love the words too.
