CHEVRONS FOR SPA - AND BIRTHDAY CARD FOR

(Sorry if the title seems strange - something keeps going wrong with the titles till I can sort it out)

SUNDAY POSTCARD ART - the theme for  this week at SPA is 'chevrons', and here is my response to the challenge.  May I introduce Sergeant Ted:

CHEVRONS

Here I show you Sergeant Ted,
Chevrons have really gone to his head.
His angularity is complete -
and I haven't even shown you his feet!

ARTIST'S PLAY ROOM - Over at Artist's Play Room, it's Jen's birthday this week, and she has asked us to make art about 'Birthdays'.  What can be nicer than flowers and an unexpected birthday card?  So here's a birthday card I have made especially for Jen with my painting of cyclamen - one of my favourite flowers.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JEN

  8. Sergeant Ted has a pointy head. I love how even his nose has chevrons. That cyclamen is beautiful. I love the way they swoosh and the leaves have such great detail.

  11. Ted is fab but I do love those cyclamen... I drew some for a Botanical Art Exhibition I was part of and they almost sent me mad, but i do love them, and I even have one on my table at the moment... hoping it cools down soon so that it survives... yours is simply lovely Jez...xx

  12. The cyclamen is so beautiful. They are everywhere here at the moment, although surprisingly I don't have one! I'll have to rectify that. I'm positive Jenn will adore this card...oh and Sgt Ted of course.
Missing entering APR but I hope to be back soon :D
