Not a proper post this - but this is the first time I have even been able to think of looking at the computer. Thank you to my friends for your kind comments and good wishes.
MESSY BITS YOU CAN MISS OUT AND HOP TO THE NEXT PARAGRAPH
Operation over - cancer of the colon. All this happened within two months, complete surprise. Went to doctor about something quite different and he was concerned because I looked so pale. Saw a specialist within a week, followed by tests and examinations, etc, etc, one rapidly after another. Then whipped in to hospital for the op. Home two days after the op and so glad to be in the peace and quiet of home with my lovely lovely husband who looks after me better than a mother.
NIGHT VISITATIONS
Didn't like the night before coming home when an old feller in his underpants kept shouting at the top of his voice all night, and came into our ward a couple of times - he gave the poor nurses a hard time, and they were so good and so patient.
THREE CHEERS FOR THE NHS
Have to give every praise to the NHS for such care and good treatment for an old lady! Still more tests to come to check nothing has spread, though they have a few concerns.
So, tired, bit painful, but OK, and grateful to have lovely daughters to help, and family and friends to check on me. Also so glad we moved to this flat, neighbours so kind and full of offers to help.
Always something positive to be glad about in this life. When I've got a bit more ability to focus my mind I hope to be painting, and messy booking, and back to Lisa's e-course.
I WANNA HARLEY!
I've said that when I'm well enough I want to ride pillion on a Harley Davidson at speed. Dev was trying to find someone local on the internet, but Zoe said she has a friend with a Harley ..... so if I'm lucky I'll get my wish. She said he is a musician - I was hoping for a Hell's Angel, but I'm ready to compromise.
I GET POINTS
Dev says I get points for being able to post this, he says it shows I'm thinking positively!
You are very brave.
ReplyDeletesoooo glad for the update!
ReplyDeletewhen you finally get on that Harley you'd better post a picture!
Hi Jez
ReplyDeleteSo pleased to hear you are home and doing OK. What a journey you have been on and all because your Dr thought you looked a bit pale - thank goodness your Dr was so vigilant.
Keeping my fingers and toes crossed that you have a speedy recovery. Take very good care of you, sounds like you are in the best of hands with your hubby and family taking care of you. Sending you much love and healing energy xxx
Sounds like I better make that Harley ride happen then! Love you. Xxx

Thank you for your kind comments. Dev just said he has this flash vision of a gang of Harley riders pulling into the car park of the flats and saying 'Come on Jez we're going for a ride,'. Wish I could take up Dana's offer!
